All these courses are designed to take you from where you are at the moment to where you want to go in the future, with each course covering a different aspect of computing.
There will be a maximum of 6 people on any of these courses so that everyone will have the attention of the tutor, and be able to ask the most basic of questions without feeling intimidated.

The Courses
Introduction to Microsoft Office
You have to use a computer 7 hours a day 5 days a week. Everyone is telling you how wonderful they are and how much quicker they make things but you find anything involving a computer takes 5 times longer than on paper.
During our introduction to Microsoft Office we cover all the basic things that you are 'exptected' to know, we have tips and tricks that let you cut the time it takes you to do your work.
By the end of this course you will be tackling your work with much more confidence and will be ideally placed to go on to more formal computer certifications if required.
One to One Startup Training
New computers can be difficult to get to grips with, especially if you have been using your old computer for many years, or perhaps you have just got your first computer, or you're used to the computers at work and they are nothing like your new computer at home.
Churchill and Johnson's 'one to one' startup training helps anyone struggling to get to grips with their new computer. We can take you through on a guided program, starting with everyday programs and working through all the settings that no one ever tells you about but make your life so much easier.
With one of our experienced trainer-engineers helping you, you will soon be finding your way confidently around your computer. You may want to be careful who you tell though, you may well end up helping all your friends and neighbours
Introduction to Home Computing
So you have a computer, GREAT, but what do you do with it? The odd email? Look at some things on the internet? Are you unsure what you are doing even with these task?
Our introduction to home computing will set you on the road to making the most of your home computer. We look at using your computer to create interesting letters, working out the cost of your next holiday, storing editing and printing your digital pictures.
This course is all about you, there are no exams or course work to distract from the importan issue of you getting to know how to get the most from your comptuer.
Introduction to Your Computer
Is your computer a strange mysterious box that sits under your desk? Are you afraid that if you press the wrong button it will stop working or catch fire?
If so this is the course for you. We start at the very beginning by looking inside the computer, and will describe each of things that make up this magic box. You will know what a ‘hard drive’ looks like, find out what RAM is, and what the power supply looks like.
This course is designed to take the fear out of computers and will give you confidence to tackle some of the simple problems yourself. We will also look at the basic tasks you may need to perform to be able to use your computer more effectively.
